Summer Fun - June

Summer is finally here but is going so fast. Here are some random pictures of what we have been up to.

Got to have Chama stay with us for over a week while her parents were on vacation.  Enjoyed having her here.  Kallen got to throw the ball for her a lot.

Went to the downtown Farmer's Market on Trax.  Kallen fell asleep on the way there.
Hula hooping, he is pretty good.  He had 4 or 5 hula hoops going at once.

Fell asleep on the way home too!
Finished a Pinterest project, an outdoor chalk board!

Playing in his pool he got for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa.

Feeding the chickens at Tiana's house during our staff BBQ.

This is how he is most days driving home from work!  One tired boy.
Getting a pedicure!  I have had to take him with me to get a pedicure the last few times.  Any time he goes with me he gets to pick out my color.  I kind of like him picking out my color because he chooses colors I would never choose but always really like it after my toes are done.  I had asked him if he wanted to get one on the way there and he said no but once mine started he changed his mind.

Those pictures all show her scrubbing his heels with the pumice that tickles like no other.  He has seen my reaction to it and had a similar reaction.

Summer Tennis

We bought Kallen a tennis racquet last Summer but with trying to move we never made it out.  This Summer I signed him up for group lessons through Salt Lake County.  There are only 4 people in his class which is great.  The Sunday before his first lesson I went out and taught him about his forehand and backhand.  He did well listening to me.  He has been learning more about his forehand and backhand at lessons.

Summer Soccer

Instead of doing t-ball Kallen decided he wanted to do another session of soccer, which was fine because there is so much standing around in t-ball.

You know how they say some owners look like their dogs.  Well when I saw this owner and dog that is what I thought.

End of School Year Fun

Kallen had a busy end of school year.  He had his Four Seasons Dance performance at William Penn.  Fieldtrip to Tracy Aviary that I went to help with, and then his program and carnival at Children's Corner.

Four Seasons Performance.  They ran around and jumped to different activities that happen in each of the four seasons.

Here are some links for some short videos of his performance doing different things:

Field Trip to Tracy Aviary.  Ande the Condor.  I hadn't been to the Aviary in over 10 years.  Their renovations a few years back were good, I was pretty impressed with the place.
 Eagles!
 Peacock.
 Flamingos.

 AM Kinder Class Photo.
Children's Corner performance.  The Kinder and 1st grade classes did a song from the Lorax, "How Bad Can I Be".  Kallen did a great job and really got in to it.

After the program they have a little carnival with cotton candy, face painting, fishing, bouncy houses, balloon animals, etc.  For the older kids they had the "Spongey Run"  it was pretty fun.  It is the same game Ellen Degeneres has on her show once in awhile.

Kallen picked out the flower and the pot for his teacher Mrs. Larson.
