Christmas 2014

This year since it was my brother's year to go to his wife's family for Christmas my parents decided to come to Utah for Christmas.

Christmas Eve we had Cheese Fondue and cooked meat in broth and then had chocolate for dessert.

The top picture is Kallen delivering Christmas goodies to our neighbors.

Christmas Day

We went to the movies in the afternoon before dinner.  Grandma, Kallen and I saw Annie and Grandpa and Johnny saw Unbroken.  It was snowing when we went in to the movies.

We had a nice Christmas dinner.  I made my first New York Roast in the oven with a sauce to go over it.  We had Kallen's favorite ice cream jello, steamed carrots with dill, and sweet Hawaiian rolls.

The entire elementary school had a singing program.  It started with Kindergarten and went up to 6th grade.  1st Graders were second.

December 2014

Happenings in December.

First grade field trip to Discovery Gateway.  I was in charge of 5 kids for almost two hours.

Decorating the Christmas tree.  We bought the tree at Smith's Marketplace (Fred Myer) and when we got it home noticed it came from a high school friend's tree farm in. 

The finished product.  We still have a large tote of ornaments all in boxes I decided not to put on.  

Another lost tooth.  This makes number 4.  Tooth Fairy forgot to come the first night but since she forgot she left two gold coins the next night.

November 2014

Not too much happening in November. 

A trip to the Aquarium before our yearly pass expired. 

A sunny day in November.  Like father like son.

Went to a Utah Volleyball game versus Washington.  Had a UOVA table and it was kids night.  Kallen liked the reptiles.

Grandma and Grandpa sent Kallen a ducks t-shirt so we could go back to the Utah volleyball game when they were playing the Ducks.

First snow of the season.  Kallen was anxious to shovel.  Had he waited it would have just melted.

 We had a visitor over Thanksgiving.  Hoss was Kallen's little buddy.  Slept with him every night.
