January 2015

January 2015 - The coldest, darkest month and it doesn't seem like we do a whole lot but then again we have some lots of photos.

We did go see "Walking with Dinorsaurs" at Energy Solutions Arena.  We had seen ads on TV about the event and I checked on tickets and I felt they were way too expensive.  The cheapest tickets were $34/per person and I wasn't going to spend that.  While we were at the Aquarium Kallen picked up a coupon about the show and I just put it in my purse and I had no intention of ever looking at it.  Well at lunch Kallen took the coupon out of my purse and read on there that we could get $20 off per ticket.  That sounded a bit more reasonable.  I went ahead and got us the cheapest tickets which were upper level, not the greatest seats.  On our way to our seats I ran in to one of the ushers who I knew from my days in Catering at Energy Solutions Arena and Dennis hooked us up with 6th Row tickets.  I am sure the show was so much better being in the 6th row.

Kallen started his second season of Junior Jazz Basketball.  This was at the organization day.

It was a little after Christmas so the song about two front teeth didn't matter any more, but Kallen lost one of his front teeth.  Tooth Fairy forgot to come the first night but remembered the second night.

I organized a Willamette Alumni Event at a Jazz game.  We had a small tournament but I think everyone had fun.  I actually didn't watch any of the game because I went up to my old room and caught up with a couple friends.  The Chick Fil A cow was outside of the arena.  Kallen liked that since that is one of his favorite restaurants.

At school Kallen has to write and draw a picture of what he does after the weekend.  Here are two of his master pieces.  Showing that he went bowling over the break and also that we went swimming.

Grandma & Grandpa's Visit December 2014 Part 2

We were dog sitting during the break so Kallen played a lot with Chama.  Grandma and Grandpa (well mostly Grandma) enjoyed the snow.  We woke up to a little white on Christmas morning and then it really snowed.

Sledding on the little hill at the park near our house.

Grandma & Grandpa's Visit December 2014 Part 1

We did a lot of fun things while Grandma and Grandpa were visiting for Christmas.

After Christmas we went and drove through the lights at Thanksgiving Point and went to the Draper lighted tree.  Here are a few pictures.

We also went downtown to see the lights.

We also went up Big Cottonwood Canyon for the scenery and to let Kallen do some sledding.

A visit to the Aquarium.  Grandma and Grandpa hadn't been to the new aquarium yet.  Kallen took about 180 pictures of the shark tunnel and shark viewing area.  I will just post a few pictures that Grandma took.
