As I imagined Kallen loved being in the water. He took to it right away and started splashing around and was soon splashing and kicking all around. His little legs wouldn't stop moving. It won't be long until he is a better swimmer than his Dad!

8 months old
We took Hobie and Kallen (mostly Hobie) up Millcreek Canyon to play in the snow!
If you follow the next 3 pictures Kallen takes Hobies toy from him, checks it out, and then Hobie ever so gently takes it back.
January 7th, the day Kallen turned 8 months he got the green light to take the helmet off for good. He now has a perfect head! He adjusted just fine to not having the helmet on.
Since Kallen has started feeding himself Hobie loves to wait and clean up all the spilled food off the floor. His nose rests perfectly on the top of the highchair. At least we never have to vacuum.
Like father, like son!

Oregon Trip December 2008
Kallen had a fun 10 days in Oregon visiting family and friends. He had fun exploring around Grandma and Grandpa's house as he gained confidence and balance crawling and standing. He loved going after the dog and cat food bowl (hence the barrier preventing him from going into the kitchen).
